FIRE & LIFE SAFETY CODE REQUIREMENTS FOR PYROTECHNIC DISPLAYS
The following requirements shall be complied with for the designated pyrotechnic displays:
Fire Safety:
• This form must be completed and returned to the Environmental Health and Safety Office at least 5 days prior to the event.
• Applicant further understands that area being use for pyrotechnic presentation must be available for inspection by the UTA Fire Safety Coordinator by noon on the day prior to the scheduled event.
• Applicant must arrange to have all safety equipment in place at the time of inspection, including but not limited to portable fire extinguishers (Water and BC type) appropriate to the event activities and appropriate safety barriers in place.
• Applicant concurs all statements and information on this application are true and correct.
• Applicant further agrees to observe all University policies and regulations.
Indoor displays:
• Fire watch required (EH&S personnel) • Fire panel watch required (EH&S authorized vendor personnel)
Outdoor displays:
• Fire watch required (EH&S personnel)
• Arlington Fire Department apparatus and personnel (TBD)
Additional requirements may be deemed necessary by the UTA Fire Safety Coordinator on a case-by-case basis.
